It needed to comply with FDA regulations and varying state laws, ensuring that customers were at least 21 years old through a robust ID verification process. Additionally, the platform had to manage location-based restrictions, preventing shipments to states with legal prohibitions on vape products. Handling second-party buyers presented another challenge, requiring age verification for every transaction. Ensuring that all orders were received by an adult at delivery added further complexity, all while maintaining a smooth, user-friendly shopping experience.

Streamlining Vape Sales with Integrated Compliance Measures

We implemented a robust ID verification system, requiring customers to enter their date of birth and upload a valid government-issued ID. This ensures compliance with FDA regulations, confirming that customers are 21 years of age or older before completing any transaction. If you're ordering for someone else, all individuals associated with the order must also be 21 or older.
Dynamic State-Based Order Restriction
To comply with state-specific laws, we developed a system that automatically prevents customers from placing orders if their shipping address is in a state where vape product sales are restricted. This solution identifies restricted locations during checkout and blocks any attempt to ship products to these areas, ensuring full compliance with state laws.
Delivery with Adult Signature Requirement
Due to legal regulations, we designed a system that facilitates adult signature confirmation upon delivery. To address potential issues, we included a process for managing refused deliveries, ensuring that any returned packages incur a restocking fee. We also implemented packages to be held at carrier facilities for convenient pickup if recipients are unavailable.
Automated Order Tracking System
